According to UNICEF, Pakistan has the second highest number of out-of-school children (OOSC), most of them girls. The situation is particularly dismal in Balochistan, where 78% of girls are out of school.
Parents from rural, underprivileged households do not have the financial security nor the awareness to enroll their children in schools.
As these children are deprived of a basic education and a modern outlook, a vicious circle is set in motion that continues to deprive future generations of this basic privilege of social life.
